A new years eve twist

As we enter 2026, I want to reach out and share an observation: not everyone feels hopeful or ready when the calendar turns. If you’re carrying grief, loss, or exhaustion—and so many of us are—the new year may feel heavy. And that makes sense. Grief, hurt, and intense emotions don’t follow timelines or resolutions. They don’t disappear just because a new year begins. Healing isn’t about “moving on”; it’s about learning how to carry what you’ve been through with a little more kindness toward yourself. That’s something we can all practice more often. Resilience doesn’t always look like big changes or fresh starts. Sometimes it looks like showing up, taking a breath, or simply getting through the day. That counts. All of it counts. If the past year stretched you in ways others may not see, please know that your effort matters. You showed up. And if you’re still finding your footing, you’re not behind—you’re human.
